Combine each type to make your ideal unit
Glass types
Clear, low-E, solar control, acoustic, low maintenance, textured, safety. Every type can be toughened, and most can be combined in one unit to hit a U-value, a sound figure or a security need.
- Any type toughened
- Reduced scratches
- Consistently clean units

Quality first, volume second
Plenty of companies turn a blind eye to quality on the basis of volume. BHB was built the other way round: a superb product first, and a consistently clean, high-performing unit for every customer. Shorter lead times come from that discipline, not in spite of it.
High-security units
Toughened glass is the usual choice for doors because it resists impact, but there are ways to shatter it for quick entry. We recommend pairing toughened glass with laminated glass. Laminate can crack, but the interlayer holds the glass together, slows entry and makes a lot of noise doing it. For patio and bifold doors this is the top choice.
Toughening
All glass types can be toughened. The glass is heated and rapidly cooled, which puts the surface under compression and makes it several times stronger. Toughened glass is cut and worked before it goes in the furnace, so sizes and holes are fixed at order.
