BHB Glass Systems

Introducing the BHB Heritage range

The home of performance stained glass.

Performance stained glass that brings character back into focus. Bespoke decorative double glazing, designed around the way you want your home to look, and feel.

Colour. Texture. Character.

Heritage, reimagined

The beauty you love.
A new way to live with it.

Stained glass should be a feature you notice. The colours, the texture, the way daylight brings every detail to life.

The BHB Heritage range brings those familiar aesthetics into a modern performance glass composite. Each design combines expressive colour, texture and decorative detail within a modern insulating glass unit, bringing period-inspired character to performance glazing.

From restoring the character of a period entrance to creating a statement in a contemporary home, each design starts with your vision.

Designed to be seen

Let the design take centre stage.

Traditional stained glass is often enclosed between two additional panes when it is built into triple glazing. Those extra surfaces introduce reflections that compete with the decorative detail.

Our Heritage double-glazed approach takes a different route: the decorative design forms part of the glazing build-up itself, with no separate traditional panel to encapsulate.

The result keeps the expressive colour and character while you choose the performance specification your project needs.

Find the right specification

Beauty meets purpose

Character outside.
Comfort within.

Choose the glazing build-up around your priorities. We help you balance appearance, comfort and the requirements of the installation.

  • Thermal

    A more comfortable home

Insulating build-ups reduce heat loss compared with single glazing. Low-E glass and gas-filled cavities can be specified.

  • Acoustic

    A quieter outlook

Acoustic glass can be built into the unit to reduce outside noise, depending on the glass combination chosen for the project.

  • Security

    Added reassurance

Laminated and toughened glass are available where the location or the specification calls for them.

  • Solar control

    Light, considered

Solar-control glass helps manage heat gain in exposed spaces. Talk to us about the balance of light, colour and comfort.

  • Design

    Your own signature

A period-inspired pattern, a floral composition or something entirely yours, with colours chosen to suit the house.

  • Build-up

    Specified to suit

Double or triple glazed, cavity width and overall thickness chosen to fit your frame and the installation.

Performance depends on the complete unit specification. U-values, acoustic ratings, safety classifications and suitability are confirmed in your quotation. Some options affect the appearance of the glass.

How it works

Three steps from idea to installed glass.

  1. 01 · Inspire

    Share your vision

Send photographs of your property, an existing panel or a design you love, together with approximate glass sizes.

  2. 02 · Refine

    Make it your own

We discuss pattern, colours, privacy and performance, and develop a proposal around the look and budget you have in mind.

  3. 03 · Create

    Approve every detail

You confirm the design and final specification before manufacture. Your quotation sets out pricing and the current lead time.

The Cathedral range

378 colours, each with a number.

Every colour we work from, photographed on the studio charts. Note the numbers you like and quote them when you enquire. Glass is brighter in daylight than on screen, so ask to see a sample before you decide.

A little more clarity

Your questions, answered.

Can you recreate an existing design?

Yes. A clear photograph of the original, ideally straight on with something for scale, is usually enough for us to draw it. Where the glass is damaged we match colours and textures from stock, and we can keep original roundels or jewels if they are sound.

Will it fit my existing door or window?

Every unit is made to your sizes, and the build-up is chosen to suit the rebate you have. For listed buildings and slim timber frames we also make slimline units with a narrow cavity.

What performance does the range achieve?

That depends on the complete unit: the glass either side of the decorative panel, the cavity and the gas. A typical double-glazed heritage unit sits well below the U-value of single glazing, and acoustic or laminated glass can be added. Figures for your unit are confirmed on the quotation.

How much does a bespoke panel cost?

It depends on size, the number of pieces and whether the design uses roundels, jewels or painted detail. Send sizes and a photograph or sketch and we will price it. There is no charge for the first proposal.
